Unbend Terms of Service

Effective Date: Aug 4, 2026

App Name: Unbend — listed on the App Store as “Unbend Flat Pattern Calculator”

Owner / Developer: LoopLab

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Unbend, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Service Description

Unbend is a sheet metal calculator. It computes bend allowance, bend deduction, and flat blank length for bent parts, and develops flat patterns for cones, cylinders, and segmented elbows. It presents the result as a drawing, an ordinate table, and exports: DXF, 1:1 and tiled PDF templates, ordinate CSV, and a shareable image. All calculations run on your device.

3. User Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or older as required by local law) to use the App. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. Purchases and Payments

  • Unbend offers a single optional one-time purchase that unlocks DXF export, 1:1 and tiled PDF templates, the custom K-factor table, and unlimited saved jobs.
  • It is not a subscription. Nothing renews, nothing is charged a second time, and there is no free trial and no trial countdown.
  • The price is shown in the App before you buy and may vary by region. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
  • The unlock belongs to the store account that bought it, not to a single device. Reinstalling the App or moving to a new device signed in to the same account restores it with the Restore purchase action.
  • The free version is not time-limited: every shape, every calculation, the ordinate table, the CSV export, the shareable image, and up to three saved jobs are free and unlimited in use.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies. Except where required by law or store policy, payments are non-refundable.

5. User Obligations

  • Use the App only for lawful purposes.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the dimensions, thicknesses, radii, angles, and K-factors you enter.
  • Always verify the calculated flat length, pattern, and ordinates before cutting or bending any material — a test piece costs less than a batch.
  • When printing a 1:1 template, disable “fit to page” and any scaling in the printer dialog, then measure the calibration ruler printed on the first page before you use the template.

6. Intellectual Property

All source code, designs, and branding within Unbend are owned by LoopLab. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without written permission. Files you export remain yours.

7. Generated Content and Accuracy

The App computes bends and flat patterns from published formulas and a standard K-factor chart. Real results depend on your material batch, your tooling, and your forming method, so the App cannot guarantee that a calculated blank fits every press brake. Treat the output as a starting point, confirm it with a test bend, and adjust the K-factor table to your own shop when it differs. You assume full responsibility for verifying every pattern and measurement before use.

8. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for any damages, including scrapped or wasted material, machine damage, lost production time, financial loss, or injuries resulting from use of the App or its output.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or error-free operation.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms.

11. Modifications

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the App after any change signifies your acceptance.
